Dr. Eanes has been practicing and promoting the benefits of a healthy lifestyle for over 20 years. She has worked with several healthcare organizations as an advertising account executive prior to her career in medicine. After realizing that impacting the well-being of others was her true passion, she began pursuing a full-time career in the healing arts and sciences. She has trained in Transcendental Meditation, been a student of Omega Institute for Holistic Studies and a practitioner of healing massage. Formally trained in dance, she teaches others how to use movement for connecting the spirit with the mind and body to promote good health.
During her medical training she worked under the direction of several integrative medical facilities, including the Program for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona with Dr Andrew Weil, the Institute of Non-Surgical Orthopedics, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and the award winning Canyon Ranch Health Resort. She has been at the forefront of the introduction of Electronic Health Records (EHR), having contracts with several military facilities. Skilled in the operations of several EHR's, she understands the role and value that data collection will have for a newly emerging healthcare system. She has practiced Emergency Medicine, Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care with a broader scope of restoring well-being.
Dr. Eanes' current practice integrates her training and certifications in health coaching. She is an advisory board member of Body & Brain Yoga, an instructor with the Food For Life Program, and an Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) practitioner. Her diversity and knowledge of both conventional and complementary medicine positions her perfectly for those interested in a lifestyle approach to their health care.
Dr. Eanes is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she received her undergraduate degree from Temple University in Communications. She later received both a master’s degree in biomedical science and a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Board of Holistic Medicine. and the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. She travels the United States and internationally treating and teaching patients in various healthcare, corporate and community settings.
She is a speaker for corporate wellness programs of small companies, municipalities and healthcare organizations with more than 10,000 employees. She’s a contributing writer of Travel Healthy Travel Well for Travel Host Magazine. She’s a medical endorser and spokesperson for Z-Coil Shoes. Dr. Eanes has designed a cooking class, Let Your Food Be Your Medicine, where she teaches the healing power of foods, and host an annual Retreat to Wellness in destination locations.
