Has there been a time in your life where you prevented your own success? Ms. Iyanla, as she has endearingly referred to herself, was my first thought leader, teacher. In my early twenties, I would eagerly await to hear her weekly radio segments, A Moment of Inspiration with Iyanla. When she began doing workshops, many of us would line the room to hear her candor and comedic storytelling and participate in the exercises that gave us a better understanding of how to uncover the truth of who we are and remain steadfast in who we desired to be.
More than 20 books later, Get Over It! is therapy for the patterns of thinking that keep us on the outside of our real desires. Once you become aware of the thoughts that limit you, you’ll become more willing to accept the changes needed. This is a “how to” book with daily thought practices that show you how to master your mind. From there, your greatness is destined to follow.
Get Over It! is an enlightening read. The only challenge you may have with it is your commitment to grow beyond where you are. As with eating healthy and getting routine exercise, the hardest part is not getting started but maintaining the practice.
