Who's She Reading?
It's Undeniable! You Can Break The Habit...
We call so many of life events a coincidence. With an observer awareness, we realize that we are responsible for creating all of the occurrences that take place in life. I walked away with this truth after attending one of Dr. Joe Dispenzas’ Progressive Workshop. Of his three books, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself is one that you not only will want to read, you’ll want to experience. If you’ve ever wondered why things are not going as you’d like – greater health, a desired relationship, career success or increased prosperity - you’ll receive a science infused explanation as to how your experiences create your emotions that result in subconscious behaviors that predict your future. If you can keep up with his fast pace passionate delivery, it will shake your senses.
This book will teach you ‘how and why’ changing your state of being will change your circumstances. You’ll then download the meditation CD which will begin to retrain your body to connect with your brain. Every skill that you’ve acquired from learning to tie your shoe to operating your phone has been through repetitive training; and anything that you’ve achieved, let’s say the purchase of a new car, was conceived with a single thought called a desire. In a meditative state, you’ll learn to match practice with desire for striking changes in your life.
At the live event, you’re asked to place your thought on something that you desire. I, gratefully, get to share my skills and teach my truth about healing in a way that embraces my lifestyle, yet, I continue to seek new opportunities that up level the field of possibilities. As asked, I wrote ‘Amazing New Opportunities’ and what that meant to me but, most important, how I would feel about those opportunities. I was then prepared for a guided meditation with music of rich tones and rhythms, and the reverberating sound of Dr. Joe’s voice. The meditation was both settling and stirring. I left the day’s event relaxed and inspired about the possibilities.
The next morning I arrived without my usual bag of food and snacks. I selected tea and fruit from the concession to satisfy me until lunch. As I greeted the volunteer cashier, I mentioned that I lived in New Mexico. Would it be a coincidence that she would be attending a health related event in New Mexico in the coming weeks? We promised to exchange information for an opportunity to meet while she was there. I then revealed, as a physician, the necessity of this Dispenza event. With an outburst of awe, she remarked that she was the director of a medical event that I would be perfect for participating as a wellness speaker (on my list), for a more than expected compensation (check), with like-minded colleagues in a resort location (double check)!
How does this happen? Dr. Dispenza professes it happens all the time, as he has now advanced his work into measurable results. He encourages us to fall in love with life and life will fall in love with you. If we all begin to live in the sweet spot of life, imagine how the world will become a better place.
